Ryan Callahan, CPA, MBA

As the son of an entrepreneur and an accountant, Ryan’s journey as a consultant is derived from the desire to help others focus intently on achieving their business goals.

Attending college in the wake of the early 2000s accounting scandals that rocked the industry, Ryan understands that there is a persistent need for integrity-filled, competent, thoughtful financial professionals. This has driven him to seek out businesses and non-profit organizations since 2005 with the intent of helping establish solid procedures and providing expertise. He has served both within organizations in the controller and chief financial officer positions, and externally as a business advisor, tax preparer, and external auditor.

Ryan has been married for over 17 years and is the father of three beautiful girls. He enjoys overnight hiking trips, traveling in an RV, and teaching at local universities. He serves on the board of three non-profit organizations that provide housing and educational opportunities to the community.

Education.

Ryan attended California State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 2006. In 2011, he obtained his Certified Public Accountant license in California. In 2020, Ryan earned his Master of Business Administration from Claremont Graduate University.

Career.

Ryan’s career began in 2005 as an accountant for small businesses. In 2007, Ryan began work as an external auditor and tax preparer. He began serving a small book of clients in 2014 and established his own firm. Ryan began working as an assistant controller in non-profit higher education in 2017, eventually leaving to serve his business clients more fully and work with a consulting group that is highly regarded in the non-profit sector.
